At SKSgi Campus Durgapur, separate Hostels are available for Boys and Girls apart from the Faculty Residences. The combined capacity of the hostels is 1900 students. However, staying in the hostel is optional.
The Halls of Residence on Campus have accommodation facilities available on single seater and double seater basis. Along with this, the Mess facilities are complimentary. There is a provision of purified and cool drinking water. Common room with TV, and indoor games are available. Sports grounds, basketball, volleyball court available on campus
The Institute has a medical cell which takes care of the emergency medical needs of the students community. A doctor on call is also available. The Campus has tie-up with some of the best hospitals in the vicinity. In case of immediate medical attention, the student is referred to the hospital for further treatment.
Is The Electricity Back-Up Available 24 Hrs A Day?

This comparison depends on several assumptions but overall it’s always cheaper and better to stay on campus. At first sight, the rent outside may seem cheaper, but it may not include:

  • Cost of furnishing.
  • Your travel expenses to campus on class days.
  • Mess facilities as good as available in Halls of Residence.
  • Purified, Cool Drinking water facilities.
  • Safe environment and ambience of your friends on campus.
  • Sports facilities available on campus.
  • Multi-Gym available inside the campus

So you can judge for yourself about the cost of the above mentioned facilities.

Absolutely No. The Halls of Residence for the first year student and the Returning/ Senior students are separate. Apart from this there are also members of Anti Ragging Squad and Anti Ragging Committee, to take care of the students.

The Halls are purpose built. Every student is provided with separate Bed, Study Table, Study Chair and Steel Almirah. Please note that Bedding/Mattress and other consumables are not provided.
SKSgi’s Campus Durgapur has an on-campus branch of Punjab National Bank and Canara Bank with ATM facility through which the students, parents, faculty and staff can transact provided they have a Bank account with this branch.
