Admissions to one of the top B.Tech colleges in West Bengal’s are made on a merit basis through a Joint Entrance Examination by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEE) or Joint Entrance Examination (JEE-Main) conducted by CBSE Board.
In order to be admitted to one among the top 10 engineering colleges in West Bengal l, students must pass a higher secondary examination (10 + 2) or an equivalent of at least 45 percent marks in physics, chemistry and mathematics (40 percent for SC / ST candidates) with individual pass marks in each of these subjects and pass marks (30 percent)
Admissions in the 2nd year (Third Semester) level of the B.Tech Program by Lateral Entry for Diploma Holders are restricted to a maximum of 20 percent of the approved intake in each discipline.
