Bengal College of Engineering and Technology (BCET) achieves yet another milestone in its journey
towards excellence in higher education. The Information Technology Department at BCET was established to
provide students with cutting-edge knowledge in the field. Every year, eligible students are placed
through campus recruitment, with many securing positions in core companies. In areas related to the
computer domain, the department has developed superior infrastructure and well-established facilities.
To support diverse specializations, the latest simulation tools are used, including facilities for
measurement, characterization, and synthesis of both experimental and theoretical data.
The department has an intake of 60 students in IT and is supported by qualified, dedicated faculty
members and well-equipped laboratories. Alongside a strong academic foundation, we emphasize learning
emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, pattern recognition, neural
networks, and natural language processing. These focus areas enable students to work on innovative
projects that not only fulfill curriculum requirements but also stand out in various national-level
competitions.
