The outbreak of the Covid-19 has caused problems in the functioning of educational institutions globally. The disruption in continuity of education has presented, among faculty and students, a very natural concern for the future. However, the online teaching process has given impetus to new formats of pedagogy. Our teaching fraternity group institutes have taken commendable initiatives to promote online education in all formats e.g. teaching, laboratory orientation, projects, viva, assignments and examination system.
Our focus on quality learning strategies set in accordance with Washington Accord, in collaboration with reputed institutes/organizations like NIT-Durgapur, Jadavpur University, IIEST, IITs, CMERI, DSP, ASP, ALSTOM, PCBL, Graphite India, IAF (Panagarh Base), have made us a well synchronized member of the professional learning community that pars the excellence norms of the day. The Faculty members have taken exemplary action to engage its students during the lockdown period to sustain their careers by taking online classes using several online platforms such as Zoom, Google Meet, Cisco Webex etc. They are continuously guiding and monitoring the students for MOOCS (Massive Open Online Courses) from NPTEL, Edx, Coursera, SWAYAM. NDL, Spoken Tutorials, given assignments, term papers, online skill orientation and online communication skill development. During the raging pandemic, not a single man-day was lost in providing online education to our students. With the use of latest technologies and apps like Microsoft Team, Google Meet, Webex Meet, Skype, Telephonic and Video Conferencing, as on date, we have placed almost 470 students from 2021 pass out batch through virtual recruitment process.
