Bengal College of Engineering and Technology (BCET) achieves yet another milestone in its journey towards excellence in higher education. It has received National Board of Accreditation in three courses i.e. 1) Mechanical Engineering 2) Electrical Engineering and 3) Computer Science and Engineering for a period of three years valid till 2024.
BCET achieved its first accreditation of all five eligible courses in 2007 followed by 2013, 2017 and 2020 and this is the fifth time that three courses (Mech. Engg., Electrical Engg., & CSE) have been given NBA Accreditation for three years which proves that Bengal College of Engineering and Technology is much ahead of others in quality teaching and learning and other facilities including top level placement of its students for which BCET is not only recognised in India but all over the world. This achievement assumes significance as India has been elevated to position of permanent membership in the agreement of Washington Accord. Members are all developed countries of the world namely USA, Australia, Canada, European Countries, Japan, South Korea, New Zealand, Russia, Singapore, United Kingdom and China. This means that students passing out from the NBA accredited courses will get all the facilities in higher studies and jobs in all signatory countries.
These branches will now attract top industries/corporates for campus recruitment apart from recognition on global platforms. It would not be out of place to mention that grant of accreditation is due to the dedication, sincerity and continuous efforts by the faculty and staff of the college backed by its elite management.
