Message from the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC)
The Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) of Bengal College of Engineering and Technology (BCET) is constituted in strict compliance with the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 and the UGC (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal of Sexual Harassment of Women Employees and Students in Higher Educational Institutions) Regulations, 2015.
The committee is committed to fostering a secure, egalitarian, and hospitable environment that enables female students, faculty members, and administrative staff to pursue their academic and professional vocations with complete confidence and freedom.
Core Responsibilities & Guarantees:
- Confidential Complaint Registration: Any aggrieved person may register a complaint via written letter or confidential email to icc@bcetdgp.ac.in. All identities are guarded with strictest confidentiality.
- Impartial Inquiries: Conducting prompt, unbiased inquiries in compliance with statutory service rules and principles of natural justice.
- Support & Counseling: Providing psychological counseling, medical assistance, and protective interim measures to ensure the complainant's safety and well-being.
- Gender Sensitization Drives: Conducting regular orientation seminars, workshops, and legal awareness campaigns for incoming students and staff across all departments.
BCET maintains a policy of zero-tolerance toward any form of gender harassment, verbal misconduct, or retaliation.
